Ballarat Inclusion Project
People Outdoors have been very successful in servicing metropolitan Melbourne for over 30 years, with the assistance of seed funding from the Victorian State Government, People Outdoors is offering our services to people with disabilities from Regional Western Victoria.
Based in Ballarat, Accessibility Manager, Simon Milligan has over 20 years’ experience in developing, designing and delivering outdoor experiences for people of all ages and capacities. Simon is an Outdoor Educator and Ballarat resident with a passion for assisting all people to get into the outdoors. As with all People Outdoors programs you do not have to be on the NDIS to attend camp. We are about removing barriers, achieving personal goals and having loads of fun!
Simon has been busy planning and preparing for the first Ballarat based camps, scheduled for September 2020. He has been talking with advocacy groups, local councils, venues and staff and generally spreading the People Outdoors message. Join us for a two-night escape at the beautiful Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct. Our program is designed especially for adults (18+) living with disability, including people who are neurodiverse or have intellectual or physical disabilities.
Located just moments from the ocean, this fully supported camp is all about enjoying the outdoors, trying new things, and making lifelong memories.
Campers can look forward to:
- Coastal adventures and exploring the natural surroundings
- Fun activities like archery, team games, and beach walks
- Social connection, group games, and relaxed down time
Our experienced team provides personalised support in a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can participate at their own pace.
Participants will need to meet at the venue.
