Ballarat Inclusion Project
People Outdoors have been very successful in servicing metropolitan Melbourne for over 30 years, with the assistance of seed funding from the Victorian State Government, People Outdoors is offering our services to people with disabilities from Regional Western Victoria.
Based in Ballarat, Accessibility Manager, Simon Milligan has over 20 years’ experience in developing, designing and delivering outdoor experiences for people of all ages and capacities. Simon is an Outdoor Educator and Ballarat resident with a passion for assisting all people to get into the outdoors. As with all People Outdoors programs you do not have to be on the NDIS to attend camp. We are about removing barriers, achieving personal goals and having loads of fun!
Simon has been busy planning and preparing for the first Ballarat based camps, scheduled for September 2020. He has been talking with advocacy groups, local councils, venues and staff and generally spreading the People Outdoors message. Look out for our program dates and check out our website for more details.
Every adventure begins with the first step - contact Simon by phone on 0455 514 879 or at simon@auscamps.asn.au. Get in early so we can make sure we have everything ready to go when our first camps roll out. We look forward to seeing you on camp in the near future.
For 35 years, the Australian Camps Association (ACA), has provided supported camps and outdoor experiences for kids, teens, and adults living with disability through its People Outdoors program...
