People Outdoors Extends Services to the Ballarat Region
People Outdoors, a branch of the Australian Camps Association (ACA), now has a presence in regional Victoria, thanks to seed funding from the Victorian government's Department for Jobs, Precincts and Regions.
This new base in Ballarat will help us provide supported outdoor experiences (camps) for people with a disability and will use fully accredited local ACA Member Camps. A warm welcome to our Ballarat Accessibility Manager, Simon Milligan, who started work in late February.
People Outdoors is a trusted, expert service provider with three decades of experience. Our camps provide participants with social interactions, new friendships and capacity building opportunities. We see confidence and independence skills of our participants grow through led activities in the outdoors.
Our camps are not just for kids! Starting at age six, we provide camps for children, teens and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. All participants are supported by professional and skilled staff whilst on any of our overnight, weekend or school holiday programs.
