People Outdoors Welcomes New CEO
People Outdoors is a branch of the Australian Camps Association.
The Australian Camps Association (ACA) Board are pleased to announce that after an extensive and thorough search, that Peter McDougall has commenced his role as CEO.
Peter has just completed nine years as CEO of the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL). Prior to working at the NFNL, Peter worked at AFL Victoria for 12 years as the Community Football Manager where he worked closely with all football leagues and clubs across the state. During this time, he was instrumental in providing support to all stakeholders, as well as improving the governance and management of many metro football leagues to make them a strong professional organisation. Peter has also worked closely with and to represent all stakeholders to federal/state/local government departments on key industry issues. Peter is very much a team focussed CEO who will work closely with all staff to help the ACA achieve its strategic goals.
In his first week at the ACA, Peter stated he is “looking forward to catching up with the many key stakeholders of ACA to get to know you and the challenges you are facing, and how we can support members”.
The ACA Board welcomes Peter to the role and looks forward to working with him to achieve our vision of ‘more people outdoors more often’.
People Outdoors, a branch of the Australian Camps Association, was established in 1989 to provide outdoor recreation for people of all ages living with disability. The Australian Camps Association is a registered NDIS service provider and accredited with the Quality Tourism Framework.
Camp programs include overnight through to four day residential camps and provide people living with disability the opportunity to experience the social and developmental benefits of adventure outdoors. All programs are staffed by trained and passionate professionals and volunteers.

Join us at The Great Aussie Bush Camp - Kincumber for this weekend camp (2 nights).
This camp is for NDIS Participants aged 6-17yrs living with disability. Please note this campers will need to make their own way to the venue.
Some of the activities you might participate in are archery, low ropes, campfire cooking and more!
