We're Seeking an Assistant Camp Coordinator
This Position has been filled.
The Australian Camps Association (ACA) is seeking to fill the vacant position of Assistant Camp Coordinator for the People Outdoors (PO) team.
ACA, is the national peak body for camps and associated providers, believes that participating in supported outdoor experiences through camps and adventure activities leads to happier and healthier lives. Our vision is to facilitate ‘more people outdoors more often'. We provide information, resources, services and training to well over 200 members across Australia.
People Outdoors programs are hallmarked by a high level of communication with parents/guardians and campers, including a personal pre-camp (intake) meeting and post program evaluation. Our programs only operate at Australian Camps Association member campsites that are accredited with the QTF program. People Outdoors programs are outcomes focused and are all about fun, personal development, social connection and enjoying the great outdoors.
The role is Full Time, and is based at the ACA office in Preston, Victoria. Some travel and out of hours work (e.g.weekends) may be required from time to time.
Support the work of People Outdoors in providing outdoor experiences for people with disabilities.
"My advice would be that if you love making others happy, helping out campers and their families, adventure activities and sometimes a challenge, then get in there and join us! We would love to have you - you never know the difference you can make and what you can achieve. I guarantee you will love it." - Rachel, Program Leader
